Handcrafted soap is created through a process called saponification, where oils and butters are carefully combined with a lye solution. During this process, the ingredients transform into soap and naturally occurring glycerin, which helps give handcrafted soap its rich, luxurious feel.

After the soap is mixed, colors, botanicals, clays, or essential oils may be added to create unique designs and scents. The soap is then poured into molds, cut into bars, and cured for several weeks. This curing time allows excess water to evaporate, resulting in a harder, longer-lasting bar.

Because each batch is made by hand in small quantities, slight variations in color, design, and appearance are normal—making every bar uniquely its own.

Handcrafted soap is made in small batches using nourishing oils and butters. Unlike many commercial bars, handcrafted soap naturally retains glycerin, which contributes to a rich, luxurious lather and a gentle cleansing experience.

Each batch is handcrafted and hand-cut, making every bar unique. Variations in color, pattern, and shape are a natural part of the artisan soapmaking process.

At COCOLOND Soapery, we use coconut or soy yogurt in select hot process (HP) soap recipes to help create a smoother, more fluid soap batter. During the hot process soap-making method, the soap naturally thickens to a texture often compared to mashed potatoes. Adding a small amount of plant-based yogurt helps transform the batter into a more pourable consistency, making it easier to work with, pour into molds, and create beautiful designs and swirls.

Because we are committed to creating plant-based products, we do not use dairy-based yogurts or milk products in our soaps. Instead, we choose plant-based alternatives such as coconut or soy yogurt that align with our values and ingredients philosophy.

If you have sensitivities or allergies to coconut, soy, or any other ingredient, we recommend reviewing the full ingredient list before use and discontinuing use if irritation occurs. When in doubt, perform a patch test on a small area of skin first.

The yogurt is used during the soap-making process and is selected for its role in creating a smooth, workable soap batter.

The lifespan of a soap bar depends on how often it's used and how well it's stored. Allowing your soap to dry between uses can help extend its life.

Store your soap on a well-draining soap dish and keep unused bars in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Our soaps are crafted using traditional soapmaking methods and carefully selected ingredients rather than the detergent-based formulas commonly found in many commercial cleansing bars.

Everyone's skin is unique. We recommend reviewing the ingredient list for each soap and discontinuing use if irritation occurs.

Traditional handcrafted soap generally does not require preservatives because the soapmaking process creates a product with low water activity.

Natural ingredients, botanicals, and essential oils may naturally deepen or fade in color as the soap ages. This is normal and does not affect the quality of the soap.

Many of our soaps are made with plant-based oils and butters. Please refer to each product listing for specific ingredient information.

Some of our soaps contain palm oil, an ingredient that helps create a rich, creamy, and long-lasting lather. We understand that palm oil production can raise environmental concerns, which is why we purchase our palm oil from suppliers who state that their sources participate in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), an organization that promotes more sustainable palm oil production practices.

While Cocolond Soapery is not RSPO-certified, we strive to work with ingredient suppliers who share our commitment to responsible sourcing.

A light powdery coating, often called "soap ash," can occasionally form on handcrafted soap. This is a natural occurrence and does not affect the performance of the soap.

Many of our soaps can be used on both the face and body; however, every formula is unique. Please follow the recommended use instructions on each soap bar's label or product page, as some varieties may be intended for body use only.

Because facial skin can be more delicate than the rest of the body, we recommend performing a patch test by trying the soap on a small area of skin first. If irritation or discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional if needed.

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts used to provide natural fragrance and contribute to the overall sensory experience of the soap.

We love letting nature inspire our soaps! In many of our bars, we use naturally derived colorants such as clays and plant-based powders to create beautiful, earthy hues.

For certain artistic designs and vibrant colors, we may also use skin-safe cosmetic colorants, including micas and other approved color additives. Every colorant we use is carefully selected for use in handcrafted soap and helps create the unique look of each bar.

Some soaps may contain fragrance oils, essential oils, or a blend of both. Please review the ingredient list on each product page.

Handcrafted soap does not typically "expire," but for the best scent and appearance we recommend using it within 12–18 months of purchase.

Please allow 1-3 business days for order processing before your package ships. Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow its journey to your door.

During new product launches, promotions, holidays, or periods of high order volume, processing times may be slightly longer. If this happens, we'll do our best to keep you informed.

After your order ships, delivery typically takes 2–5 business days within the United States via USPS Ground Advantage. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on your location.

As soon as your package ships, you’ll receive an email with your tracking number so you can follow your COCOLOND goodies every step of the way.

Keep in mind that it can take up to 48 hours before the tracking is available. Can't track your package after 48h? Please send us an email to support@cocolondsoapery.com and we will contact the shipping company.

Each bar is carefully wrapped and cushioned in a padded mailer to help ensure it arrives safely and beautifully.

Once a package is handed to the carrier, delivery is in their control. If your tracking shows delivered but you cannot locate your package, please check with neighbors and your local post office. Still need help? Contact us at support@cocolondsoapery.com and we’ll gladly assist.

Due to the personal care nature of our products, all soap sales are final. However, your happiness matters to us! If your order arrives damaged or there is an issue with your purchase, please contact us at support@cocolondsoapery.com within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll be happy to make it right.
